Please use Topstitch Needle with larger eye to work with, such as SCHMETZ Topstitch 80/12 or 90/14 size. **Q: Can this be used for long arm quilting?** A: I used this on my Platinum 16 quilting machine. **Q: Would this work well for hand quilting?** A: Perhaps it would work better for hand quilting than it does for machine quilting. Slowed the speed - 90/14 needle - 2 layers of wash away stabiliser. The top thread was horizontal as shown in video and caused no problems. It sewed out this FSL butterfly with no problems. I would definitely recommend Simthread metallic thread and also all their other threads. ### ⭐ Awful product *by J***R on 16 May 2022* Not compatible with my brother embroidery machine. It snapped every 10 -100 stitches so an embroidery pattern that should have taken 5 minutes took almost half an hour as I had to keep retreading my machine.
