They are engineered for reliability, welded together with quality steel and blasted clean for a smooth finish. Tested to meet the strict demands of the industry, this CURT class 1 hitch has a capacity to tow up to 1, 500 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 150 lbs. of tongue weight. This means it can handle a variety of small trailers such as single-axle utility trailers, canoe and kayak trailers, dirt bike trailers and more. It can also accept a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack, making it a very useful addition to cars with limited cargo space (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i. e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). Class 1 hitches feature a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and are typically mounted on compact cars, full-size cars and some smaller crossover SUVs, minivans and compact SUVs. This particular hitch comes with a vertical receiver tube and is designed to be a custom fit trailer hitch for the BMW Z3 (except M version) (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg). It features a square tube frame and comes with a hitch pin and clip, all necessary installation hardware and an old-style ball mount to fit the vertical receiver tube. Each CURT class 1 hitch is co-cured with a liquid Bonderite coating and a high-gloss black powder coat finish that provide a lasting defense against rust, wear and harmful UV rays. Review: Four Stars - To install you MUST remove the rear bumper ## Features - DEPENDABLE STRENGTH. With a strong, welded steel build, this class 1 hitch is rated for 1,500 lbs. gross trailer weight and 150 lbs. tongue weight (limited to lowest-rated towing component) - HIGHLY VERSATILE. Add versatile towing options to your vehicle with this class 1 trailer hitch kit. It features a vertical 1-1/4-inch receiver, and it includes a 1-1/4-inch vertical adapter ball mount with a 3/4-inch ball hole - DUAL-COAT FINISH. For industry-leading rust, chip and UV resistance inside and out, this tow hitch is submersed in a liquid A-coat and co-cured with a durable black powder coat finish - EASY INSTALLATION. The vehicle-specific design of this class 1 hitch kit makes trailer hitch installation faster and easier. This hitch is designed to fit select models of the BMW Z3. It includes a vertical ball mount - TESTED FOR SAFETY. Each CURT class 1 trailer hitch design is thoroughly tested at our Detroit facility, using real vehicles in real-world conditions. Our hitches are tested to SAE J684 specifications for safety on the road ahead ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000JUIBR0 | | Brand | CURT | | Brand Name | CURT | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Trailer | | Customer Reviews | 2.8 out of 5 stars 4 Reviews | | Finish Type | Powder Coated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00612314117482 | | Included Components | Class 1 Hitch | | Item Type Name | with Select BMW Z3 | | Item Weight | 27 pounds | | Manufacturer | Curt Manufacturing | | Manufacturer Part Number | 11748 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish; One-Year Parts) | | Model Number | 11748 | | Number of Items | 1 | | OEM Equivalent Part Number | 11748 | | OEM Part Number | 11748 | | UPC | 612314117482 | | Vehicle Service Type | Trailer | ## Images ![CURT 11748 Class 1 Vertical Trailer with Mount, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select BMW Z3 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61WgcGqpTJL.jpg) ![CURT 11748 Class 1 Vertical Trailer with Mount, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select BMW Z3 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cgBRTRziL.jpg) ![CURT 11748 Class 1 Vertical Trailer with Mount, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select BMW Z3 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71j7kb+owcL.jpg) ![CURT 11748 Class 1 Vertical Trailer with Mount, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select BMW Z3 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ximJ6yjgL.jpg) ![CURT 11748 Class 1 Vertical Trailer with Mount, 1-1/4-Inch Receiver, Compatible with Select BMW Z3 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91gIIRx1StS.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by C***N on September 20, 2017* To install you MUST remove the rear bumper --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/250135931-curt-11748-class-1-vertical-trailer-with-mount-1-1](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/250135931-curt-11748-class-1-vertical-trailer-with-mount-1-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
