I'm allergic to aluminum cans so I wanted a travel friendly straw option that I could keep in my bag for sports games, concerts, friend's houses, etc. I was leaning towards the GIR travel straws because the brand makes truly great products but the straw case didn't close all the way and I didn't want purse dirt getting inside the case and on the straw. This one closes all the way and prevents the straw from getting dirty. It's really compact and doesn't take up much space and the straws have bend spots build in so it's easy to bend them and put them in the case.
