So that cat doesn't go near it even though I've strategically placed it so that its unavoidable, he finds ways around it or jumps over it! But I've put it into the entrance of the bathroom to use for myself as I have to go through the bathroom to get to the "bathroom".. it works great for me - it traps everything on my shoes and bare feet so I don't trek lose litter around my home.. But I've found that maggots are very attracted to it (I don't often get maggots it was a once off) and they tunnel into the deep mesh for whatever reason so I wouldn't suggest leaving it in place for more than a couple of days, I found though its easy enough to get rid of the maggots just by hanging it in the sun and breeze for 10 minutes and they worm out by themselves.. So I think its a good product as long as you generally keep up with the housework regularly. But it could be better if it had a way to attract the cat to it, like including a pheromone spray or something like that.. I am thinking of buying another one to keep next to my bed so my midnight pit stops don't bring crunchy stuff into my bed.
