This is just under 20 inches on each side. That's not big enough to wrap clothes with, so I wouldn't recommend this size for that purpose.

It has white lines on the underside

Q: Could this be added to a garment? Is the fabric soft enough?

I don't think it would be comfortable for a shirt, but it could probably be used in a jacket or vest that has lining.
