Review: Great Safe Cutting! - Stredy cutter that works good on paper and card stock. Precise cutting with a clean edge. Not made for cardboard cutting. The design has safety in mind, as it would be difficult for even the tiniest human fingers to access the blade. Review: If this breaks, I'm buying it again. - This is so much better than any guiloteen paper cutter. I use it to trim vinyl decals and to cut vinyl sheets from rolls to smaller size. Always cuts clean. I do take it apart and clean the sticky adhesive that builds up from my vinyl when i feel it becoming stiff or takes more force to slide the blade. it builds on the roller and the edge of the cutting blade, but its simple and goes right back to working. ## Features - SELF-SHARPENING- Cuts in both directions - PROTECTIVE BLADE HOUSING- Ground steel blade is encased for safety - AUTOMATIC CLAMP- Holds work securely and prevents uneven cutting - STURDY METAL BASE WITH SCREENED GUIDES- Provides a solid surface that won't warp or crack - GERMAN ENGINEERED- For precision and accuracy ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B082NQGZC5 | | Best Sellers Rank | #8,685 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #4 in Rotary Paper Trimmers | | Brand | Dahle | | Color | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (4,142) | | Date First Available | November 22, 2019 | | Item Weight | 2.9 pounds | | Item model number | 00508-24050 | | Manufacturer | Dahle | | Manufacturer Part Number | 508 | | Material Type | Metal, Plastic | | Number of Items | 1 | | Paper Finish | Coated | | Product Dimensions | 23.25 x 8.13 x 2.9 inches | | Size | 18" Cut Length | ## Images ![Dahle 508 Personal Rotary Trimmer, 18" Cut Length, 5 Sheet Capacity, Self-Sharpening, Automatic Clamp, German Engineered Paper Cutter - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71PIWSzZp1L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it 508 generation 3?** A: My 508 says 3rd generation on the box **Q: Where can I buy a replacement blade for this model?** A: Dahle sells replacement parts direct. A member of the Customer Relations Team would be happy to help you place your order by phone at 800-995-1379. **Q: New vs Old. Is the new version better?** A: No. I’ve had a couple of the old design and love them. Smooth, and after yrs, seem to never dull— self sharpening also. The new design SQUEAKS horribly. After realizing that, I ordered another that was listed as the old design. I received a new model again. :( Also squeaks. Now I have no idea what to order. I’ve relied on Dahle for abt a decade. Hated Fiskars and the guillotine type (neither have had accurate 90° angles. What do I order now?? Bring back the old design, Dahle. Please? **Q: Do you have free returns?** A: I would say yes, for the most part, as long as it's within 30 days. Richard. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Safe Cutting! *by M***S on July 21, 2026* Stredy cutter that works good on paper and card stock. Precise cutting with a clean edge.
