Olivia loved her with everything she had and was always there to encourage M. M, who had experienced so much heartbreak as a foster child and wanted to provide a safe haven for someone else. Enter Olivia. She was such a sweet girl and loved M & B so much and was so happy with them. This is a story of love and acceptance as much as anything else. It did my heart good to follow the characters through to the end. Highly recommend this second book about M & B. I have to say that this has made me cry several times every time I read it. Lynn Galli captures the emotion of all of the characters so well and you have to feel for them.It was nice to see the characters I loved from Blessed Twice in a different context - they were recognisable, and yet the insight into who they are grew through the story.I highly recommend this book - and all of Lynn Galli's books. Maybe even a novel by some measures. The two viewpoints are M, of course, and Olivia her foster child with Briony. The writing is strong and Olivia's (foster home) street smarts and the reality of the foster care system is well done even while troubling (to someone that has never had to deal with it). Well done overall and getting to hear Olivia's thoughts and interpretations of life around her was exceptional. A great choice for one of the voices for the story.A longer story would have gotten more stars (from me) but at the price and length combination it was definitely worth the price. I always buy her books in paperback as I don't like to transition media types for an author. In any genre.
