No, you don't need to prime the canvas with Gesso first! The numbers on the canvas will be covered as soon as you painted the acrylic paints on them! **Q: Do I need to by the wood frame to staple the canvas on?** A: It provides hanging fixtures, but no frame. So, yes. **Q: How can I purchase paint replacement? I received this as a gift however, most of the paint pods arrived completely dried up. Help!** A: This happened to me as well. All of the paint arrived dried up. I have added a couple drops of water to each paint to make it work. I don’t see any way to contact the seller. **Q: How do you get the creases out of the canvas?** A: Turn the canvas on it's backside not the side with the numbers. then with a very hot iron with steam quickly run the iron all over the back of the painting. Steam it alittle if the creases are hard and resistant. I go across the canvass sideways and usually get adequate results. I have done several PBN and this is by far the best paint I've used. Theres almost a metallic sheen with lighting pointed at it. The painting came out better than the picture they show and that never happens. The colors are absolutely beautiful and the canvas was rolled and packaged great. Im only sad colormaize doesnt have more of this type of PBN. The end result is beautiful BUT the paints are so transparent I had to go over almost each color 2,3, and even 4 times. Some colors I’ll need to go over again. It seems impossible to cover the numbers and lines. Be patient and the outcome is stunning. Consider better quality colors that are not transparent. That’s the only reason it did not get a 5. I love the quality of the canvass and the fact that it came rolled up and not folded.
