Extremely lightweight compared to the 1650 case. I have both. As far as weight capacity, I haven't tested, but im sure it cant hold a solid amount. The case does have some flex empty especially the closing top which can cause an uneven quick close to line up. Not a deal breaker. The cases are sturdy and have a lot of room, but it is an open trunk so either you just dump everything in and hope for the best or you also need to purchase internal organization options. That said, if you are traveling in the winter, once you get below freezing, there is a chance the cold makes the body and latches brittle enough that they crack or snap. Fair warning, getting replacement parts from Pelican is near impossible. One of my cases has not had any issues, the other case is on it’s set of latches. Overall it’s a great trunk and mine are showing minimal wear after well over 200 flights the pst couple years. **Q: Can you order with TSA key lock latches?** A: It has holes to use TSA padlocks or regular padlocks.
