The "T" Section bar is made from special cold drawn steel with a Section of 1" x 1-7/8" bar Length is 72" with 66" of capacity. The main screw has acme threads for smooth movement and increased resistance to wear. The steel bar, head and slide have an attractive powder coated finish, the main screw, handle and pins are Blackened for increased resistance to corrosion. Review: Nice vise attachment! - Bought this to place in an end vise to hold a wooden leg.. used this device to hold the leg so I could plane the square leg into an octagon tapered leg. This worked so well may make more legs like this in the future. By clamping this device in the end vise, then clamping the leg in this device everything is firmly held in place and allows heavy or light planing of the leg with no movement of this device or the leg. See picture for the octagon cherry legs on the stool. Review: Groz rocks harder than Jorgensen - These are pretty specialized. I meant to buy basic I-beam style clamps, so I did not keep them.
