The electrode has a small hole, for refilling the KCl fill solution, which prolongs the life of the electrode. Glass body electrodes are useful in highly corrosive environments where epoxy could be corroded, or around proteins and other compounds with high surface tension. The free-flow junction makes this electrode a good choice to test dirty and viscous samples. The junction can be cleaned by pressing the cap down between measurements, which allows the filling solution to flow through the junction and clear contaminants.pH range is 0 to 14 (+ or – 0.02 pH), temperature range is 0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F) and body dimensions are 120 mm (4.72”) length x 12 mm (0.47”) diameter body with a 1 m (39”) cable.
