Restrung the trimmer, each time the on lever was engaged the trimner spun and stopped. Ordered the charger which quickly arrived well packed new condition, read the instructions, the battery size, charger model# could be charged with this unit. The battery was dead, the charging green light did not flash to indicate it was being charged, it remained a solid green indicating a full charge this was not the case, the charger cooling fan did not come on. Left the battery on the charger for a long period with 0 charge. Yup bad battery, the charger is working perfectly it indicated a defective battery as indicated in the user book. A cigarette lighter socket is only 10amps. 10amps x 12v is only 120w. This means the battery will be charged more slowly than a high wattage charger. Unless you’re in immediate need of a charged battery, a slow charge is best. Slow results in better battery life both in each individual cycle and overall longevity of the battery. The charger has a small fan that runs continuously during charging, preventing the battery from becoming excessively warm during charging; again prolonging battery life, both short and long term. Charger is light, but plastic housing seems tough and well constructed.
