Everyone at her party was admiring it. I'm not sure that the top is brass (I didn't open it before I gifted it). It could be plastic, but it matches the brass body perfectly and sits on the body nicely. It is so cute you might want to put it on a shelf or mantel when you aren't using it. I bought her cone incense to go with, but I also gave her a pack of spiral incense, along with a few of those little round silver and black mats to line it with. (It took me a while to figure it out, but you need to have the black side of the mat facing upwards, so the spiral incense doesn't extinguish.) I may have to buy one of these for myself, even though I already have enough incense holders.
