It's slim (for a charging case), and it both does and does not have a jutting lip - the top & bottom do, the sides are a tad more receded than the screen, probably so your touches aren't interrupted. He hasn't dropped it yet, but it seems pretty secure though not impossible to remove/insert phone - it's just one big piece that you slide your phone into from an angle. It's matte black, kinda pliable, and its camera window doesn't obstruct as far as we can tell. These guys have a tendency to stop working under a year but we're not concerned because the price was fair, and as of now it's holding up great and his phone goes all day without needing to be plugged in. It dual charges when plugged in, prioritizing the phone and then the battery, the battery's lifespan is great and all you have to do is tap the back button to start a charge whenever you want. I like how durable the phone case is and how it is sleek and not too bulky. I also like how the phone case doesn't seem to overheat the phone. The things I dislike, are that it takes several hours to fully charge and when one blue light is flashing, it seems to not charge. Because of this, I had to remove my phone twice from the phone case to recharge just the phone case before it charged more quickly. It charges fine with the phone in the phone case if either two, three or four blue lights are flashing, just not when one blue light is flashing. Because of this, I requested a replacement from Amazon. The replacement battery case charges okay without the phone in the battery case.
