## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a resmed airsense 10 bipap with humidifier. does anyone know how long this will power my bipap?**
A: The res med 10 uses a max rating is 3.75 Amps at 24 volts using its 120 volt power adapter. This equates to 90 watts. Assuming unit draw is at 80% of max rated power supply, the actual power requirement is approx 75 watts per hour. The Jackery explorer is rated at 293 Watt hours. This equates to approx. 4 hours of use.

I use the explorer 500, and get approx 7-8 hours ( full night use) on my Resmed 10.

**Q: Can this power a sony smart tv and a ps5 at the same time and if so for how long**
A: Short answer: Yes, but only for about 53 minutes of run-time. Suggest a much larger power station, or a gas powered inverter generator.

A 43 inch LED TV would use power at a rate of about 80 watts. A PS5 typically uses power at a rate of about 200 watts during gameplay. Together that would be a rate of 280 watts. You can always get a "Kill-A-Watt" meter for $35 on Amazon to verify exact wattage for your set-up. The Explorer 300 has a battery capacity of 293 Wh (watt hours); inverter efficiency would be about 85%. See below for hypothetical run-time comparison based on a 280 watt load.

Jackery Explorer 300 ----- (293 Wh * .85 efficiency) / 280 watt device = 0.89 hours (53 minutes) of active run-time.
(retails for $300 on Amazon; weighs 7.1 lbs.)

Jackery Explorer 500 ----- (518 Wh * .85 efficiency) / 280 watt device = 1.6 hours of active run-time.
(retails for $530 on Amazon; weighs 13 lbs.)

Jackery Explorer 1000 --- (1,002 Wh * .85 efficiency) / 280 watt device = 3 hours of active run-time.
(retails for $1,100 on Amazon; weighs 22 lbs.)

Jackery Explorer 1500 --- (1,535 Wh * .85 efficiency) / 280 watt device = 4.7 hours of active run-time.
(retails for $1,700 on Amazon; weighs 35 lbs.)

MaxOak Bluetti EB240 --- (2,400 Wh * .85 efficiency) / 280 watt device = 7.3 hours of active run-time.
(being closed out for only $1,300 on Amazon; weighs 48 lbs.)

**Q: Can I use more than 1 100w solar panel to charge? Or a solar panel rated higher than 100w? Would it be safe to use higher wattage panels?**
A: You may connect as many solar panels as you wish to the Jackery Explorer 300 as long as you keep the charging voltage between 12 Volts DC and 30 Volts DC. The MPPT controller in the E300 will limit the charge to about 80 or 90 Watts. Higher wattage panels are OK as long as the voltage is between 12 Volts and 30 Volts. Do not series connect your panels as the voltage will be way over the 30 volt limit with most "12 Volt" panels.

**Q: Can you charge and use simultaneously?**
A: Don't know where terms of Jackery gets it'll 'damage the battery life'. As Pass through charging is designed specifically to allow power to flow to a device, Without effecting battery performance. So ether Once the battery is charged, The extra power going to the device, Ether standby, or active. It'll send power straight to a plugged device in, without taking power from the battery. Same as during charge. While charging a % of power is reduced from charging the battery itself, and thrown to the device requiring power. This will make it take longer to charge, But give the plugged in device the extra full power it requires without taking battery power.

This is also done on many devices out in the world now, Phones, Laptops, Tablets, etc have pass through charging. It's even best to leave it plugged in, Due to while using a device or charging. It won't effect the internal battery, And the box will keep it trickle charged so it's always topped, Till the power outage happens and you need that 100% point.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rugged, Dependable, Quality, Easy to Use and Fast Charging Portable Power Station
*by on Reviewed in the United States September 10, 2020*

I purchased a Jackery Explorer 300 Portable Power Station on 9-1-2020 and it arrived a few days later via FedEX. My decision to purchase the E300 was based on the results of my previous experience with a Jackery E160, E500 and a Jackery E1000. I found the Jackery Power Station to be very useful, easy to use and easy to charge with the Jackery SolarSaga 100W Solar Panel, AC Charger or the Car Port. I use the E300 to power my small electrical devices during the power outages that often occur after storms or traffic accidents in my area. The E1000 will take care of powering my Maytag Refrigerator/Freezer but I needed another power station and I chose one with more capacity than the E160 for some of the longer power outages.I have tested the E300 with several LED & CFL lights that can be used in table lamps and the best one is a 14W Grt Val 1500 Lum LED 'DayLight' bulb, It draws 20 Watts and the E300 will power it for 12-14 Hours from 100% to 10% battery charge levels. The fan will run part time and is very quite. I place the LED light bulb in a small table lamp and it can be moved as needed. You probably already have LED's in your table lights so just use one of them. I also tested a Philips 11 Watt 1000 Lumens LED light for 6 Hours and the E300 charge level decreased from 90% to 60%. I also tested a 5 Watt Onite 400 Lumens USB LED light for 9 Hours and the charge only changed from 90% to 75%. Any of these three choices are a big improvement over my LED lanterns that start out bright but quickly dim unless you run them on low power. As a result of purchasing the E300 I have retired several of my D-Cell LED lanterns that were being used for the power outages and replaced them with table lamps, rechargeable LED Lights and flashlights with rechargeable AA & AAA batteries.I have a UPS to protect my desktop computer that gives me 20 minutes of runtime in a blackout but if I plug the UPS with the connected computer into my E300 I can extend the operating time at least two more hours. My internet also provides my telephone service and the U-Verse modem needs power or I lose telephone service. The Power Lift Chair can operate from the E300. The "Merlin@Home" Transmitter needs power to send pacemaker data and worked just fine when tested.I like having more than one power station because I won't need extension cords for each device that I want to power and that also lets me place then in different parts of the house. The E300 has some new features that were not on the E240. The AC Inverter is now 300 Watts (pure sine wave), the 13.3 Volt regulated car port output has a nice cover and the USB output has 60W PD USB-C, QC3.0 USB-A, USB type A port (2.4A). The MPPT charger provides faster charge rates from solar (5.5H), AC (4.5H) and from a car port (5H).An important feature of the Jackery Explorer 300 is the pass through charging can be used to supply power continuously to a critical load by charging the E300 from the DC Carport on another Jackery Explorer. If the load on the E300 is 75 Watts or less the E300 will stay almost fully charged. The Jackery (E1000, E500, E440, HLS290, E240 or E160) can supply power until their battery is exhausted. This method will allow you to keep the E300 in a critical place without the need to move it outside to recharge by a Solar Panel or Generator. The other Jackery Explorer unit can then be moved and recharged as needed. The DC charging cable you will need is supplied with the Jackery Explorer 300.The E300 is much more useful than just for power outages and I am discovering more uses every day. The E300 provided power when the wife needed a heating pad while setting in a wheel chair a few days ago. I have a solid state Oscilloscope that the Jackery E300 can power for several hours and that makes one of my best pieces of test equipment truly portable. The E160 and the E300 are used to provide power for my Ham Radio equipment when operating at temporary locations. Two things that would help with my Ham Radio Equipment is the addition of Anderson PowerPole connectors on the DC input and DC output. This would help when charging the E300 and powering my radio equipment from the E300. The ability to turn off the "Auto-power off feature when the draw is under 10 watts" would really be handy. This feature is great for saving the battery but not so good when powering tranceivers that are monitoring an emergency radio frequency. You just might miss your call. For maximum battery power, charge Lithium-ion Batteries every 6 months to compensate for the self discharge and for longer life, charge before going below the 20% charge level. The Jackery Explorer 300 is well worth the price and is expected to provide excellent service for many years. Here are some photos of just a few of the items that the E300 can power.Jackery Explorer 300 Waveform; Heating Pad on Wheelchair; AA & AAA Battery Chargers; Rechargeable lights; Ham Radio Equipment; Jackery Explorer 300 with accessories; AC, DC & USB fans; Solar Charging in Morning Sun; Power lift Chair; Oscilloscope; AC, DC & USB Powered Lights

Living in Florida, I’m no stranger to power outages when storms roll through — I’m always scrambling at the last minute hoping the electricity will hold. That’s part of why I bought the Explorer 300… and also because I love being outdoors and going on camping trips or spontaneous weekend getaways.⚡ Backup Power When It MattersWhen a storm hits or the power goes out unexpectedly, the Explorer 300 gives me a quick, easy backup so I’m not left completely in the dark. I can charge phones, laptops, a few lights or fans — enough to get through a blackout without stressing. Because it’s clean and quiet (no gas, no fumes), it’s much more convenient than a traditional generator when I’m stuck at home.🏕️ Great for Camping & Outdoor TripsWhen I’m headed out on camping or a weekend trip, this little power station is a game-changer. It’s light enough to throw in the car or a bag and carry easily. I can charge my phone, run a small fan, power a laptop, or light up a tent at night. It feels like having a portable, travel-friendly power source that doesn’t weigh me down — perfect for someone like me who loves getting outside.GearLab+2Tool Reviews Ninja+2✅ What I LoveThe portability — it’s so light and compact that I don’t stress about it being bulky.GearLab+1It handles small electronics really well (phones, laptops, LED lights, small fans, etc.).GearLab+1Having a backup ready when hurricanes hit — gives peace of mind.Being able to unplug and bring it camping — no worry about plugging into a wall or dealing with noisy generators.⚠️ What to KnowIt’s not built to run heavy-duty appliances — so don’t expect it to run a full house’s A/C or a fridge for days.
