Review: Perfect walking harness for light to non-pullers - This is the perfect harness for my mini poodle. I keep him in a variety of haircuts - from super short to rather long and fluffy. His chest measures about 18.5 inches excluding his fur. I ended up going with medium to account for his extra fluff and I'm glad I did. The harness leaves plenty of room for him to run at a full sprint and walk comfortably, without excessive looseness. He is not a habitual puller - I worked with him on a regular collar to reduce pulling behavior, but he is a puppy so every now and then he gives a good tug. I have found this harness does a good job of preventing him from pulling with pressure around his neck, which was my goal. I would not recommend this harness for dogs who habitually pull - I feel this would excaerbate the issue. But for a dog who walks well, this harness is perfect! I love how it is secured with a plastic buckle; I wanted to avoid anything with velcro because that tends to catch on fur. The ease of putting it on makes this my new go to harness for all walks - it's just as easy as putting on his collar, and I don't have to worry about any neck pressure or strain! The color is a nice bonus - the turqoise is more of a light blue that is simply lovely to look at.
Review: Perfect shape, size, and comfortable - I got this for my chunky 14 yr old Shih Tzu. It’s absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. She was needing something with least amount of coverage, bc she gets hot. She needed something that wasn’t going to push on her neck/throat. Also, something that wasn’t scratchy or uncomfortable. This harness fits her so perfectly, and I love that it can be loose until it’s hooked on leash or seatbelt. It doesn’t take up too much space on her, so she feels more free and doesn’t get hot. It feels way more comfortable to the touch than others. It also stays off her neck and throat, thank goodness. It’s also very sturdy, and no way she could slip out. For what we got, I’d say it was worth the price, and glad it didn’t cost more than that.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is Gooby Escape Free Easy Fit Harness?**
A: It has a patented design that can significantly reduce or even eliminate the risk of a dog escaping, particularly dogs that have a tendency to pull by backing up. Harnesses in the Escape Free harness collection all come with this patented design.

**Q: How to put it on?**
A: 1. Loosen harness straps. and Place harness logo-up on ground. 2. Dog steps front legs into openings. 3. Pull harness over back, fasten buckle. 4. Make sure there is no space around the back when harness is fully pulled. 5. Move sliders to adjust.

**Q: Is it 100% "escape-proof"?**
A: Harness is designed to reduce the risk of a dog backing out. But a poor fit or lack of active pulling on the harness can result in your dog getting out of the harness. Make sure there is no space around the back when the harness is fully tightened.

**Q: Is it suitable for all dogs?**
A: It's designed to fit a variety of small to medium dog breeds, but it may not be suitable for all dogs (i.e. large breeds like Labradors.) Please measure your dog's chest girth to determine which size is best for your dog.

**Q: Why is the harness loosening and contracting?**
A: The mechanism tightens with leash tension and loosens without it, ensuring comfort by preventing constant tightness, making your pup uncomfortable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy and roomy harness
*by F***9 on July 19, 2026*

We love these harnesses. Very easy to put on. Just step in and wrap it up and click shut. Helps a lot with a wiggly dog. My dog is in between the weight recommendations however. A medium felt so tight even adjusted completely so we bought this large which gives him more room definitely but its a bit loose yet works much better once hes on a leash. Not sure that he is going to grow much more. He really shouldn't. He is a corgi and just a solid boy. We had a different harness and hated it. It was confusing and as he grew it got way too tight. I love how easy these are for the dog to step into and we just snap it up
