I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars, as I have begun to move away from the in hammock insulation and towards external insulation. That said, this weighs much less than any external insulation and does provide pretty good protection from the expected temperature ranges. In general, I struggle to keep any of the in hammock pads under me and wake up with a cold back until I get it re-positioned (not an issue with external insulation). I would still strongly recommend this product over using the old windshield reflector, fits you better and the hammock better. If you are concerned with weight, it is very light and fits nicely in your pack. They are very durable.
