Not wanting to shell out $70-$80 for a mouse, I scoured Amazon for a cheap replacement. After a bit of binge comparison review reading, I decided to purchase the Punkman Wireless Mouse, mostly because it was cheap. It also had touch-based "scroll wheel" functionality, but I was a bit skeptical that such a cheap mouse could emulate the touch experience of the Apple Magic Mouse. I was right to be skeptical. While the mouse has worked fine so far, the responsiveness of the touch scrolling is bad enough that I can't give the review more than 3 stars. My teenage son, who uses the Mac Mini more than anyone in the family, mostly for games, manages to work around the lack of touch-responsiveness and touch-precision, but there is no way I would be able to use this thing on a daily basis as the primary mouse on a computer I used all the time. ### ⭐ It dashed my hopes of fur ball freedom. *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2016* Not what I hoped for.I have cats and my mouse wheel always eventually clogs up with fur balls -- really! Before the days of direct optical sensing, those balls they used on the bottom clogged got fur balls too, but even faster (but they were relatively easy to clean). And now my index finger is starting to "suffer" from repetitive stress. No lie -- I get these little electric shock tinges in the top joint of my index finger after a lot of mouse left clicking and wheeling, which essentially I do all day. I already had carpal tunnel (and adjusted), so now this? Crap!That's why I searched for a mouse that had no mechanical wheel but used capacitive touch sensing, which is a double edged sword. My first attempt was a Dell WM713 Bluetooth touch wheel mouse, but guess what? Dell refuses to update the driver for Windows 10 and guess what else? I upgraded a BUNCH of PCs and laptops to Windows 10. The ad ONLY stated (as customer service pointed out) "supports Windows 7, 8, and 8.1" but NEVER said NOT Win10. So, thanks Dell. Another (un)happy customer.I almost gave up, but decided to search good old Amazon and found the Punkman mouse -- but it's not Bluetooth. I use a Logitech keyboard & mouse now with their unified 2.4GHz dongle, so the Dell's Bluetooth meant I didn't need another thing plugged into my PC, since it already has Bluetooth and I use it for other things like headphones. The Punkman uses a proprietary 2.4GHz (aren't they all?) dongle -- oh well. That would have been OK, if not for the final nail in the coffin...That nail came in the form of the mouse spontaneously doing things on its own. Typically, it would add an extra left click here and there. OK, so "maybe" my finger DOES touch the mouse, but EVER SO GENTLY. Not a "problem" with capacitive sensing -- any touch, hard, soft, or ethereal is a touch. So this would constantly screw up my browsing, my editing, my spreadsheets, you name it. Bye bye Punkman. I didn't return it since it would cost me as much in time and return postage as I paid for it, so why bother?So, back to my Logitech mouse and the periodically fur-balled wheels. If only they were easier to take apart and clean, but who builds anything for servicing nowadays? ### ⭐⭐ The non-buttons were frustrating *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2017* This was the first wireless mouse I have tried, but I just couldn't get use to the smooth surface (as opposed to actual clickable buttons). My fingers could never find accurately find the areas mapped out for the two buttons and the scroll wheel (unless I was looking directly at the mouse, but I think most people will be looking at the screen while using the mouse). Even after I taped an area out with some thick gaffers tape (see picture attached), the scroll wheel wasn't responsive enough. I ended up swiping at it several times in order to scroll through a small portion of the window I was working in. The USB bluetooth aspect of it was alright, very responsive to just general directional movements.
