## Overview

Fantasy Aquarium for Nintendo Wii is the groundbreaking virtual ecosystem game that invites players to create and manage their own underwater world. With over 150,000 copies sold and a strong presence in the pet care gaming market, this title offers a unique blend of creativity and interactive gameplay.

## Description

In this pleasant and relaxing software experience, much like a real aquarium, you can customize your fish tank with different backgrounds, gravel styles, decorations, plant life, and of course, fish. Sit back, relax and interact with the fish. If you have to go away for a while, don't worry; you might even find a brand new fish when you come back! In My Aquarium, Wii owners can choose the fish that will live in their aquarium and what decorations they'll get to enjoy. You can choose the glass color, lighting, background design, style of gravel, rocks, or plant life for the world their fish will inhabit and can mix and match different fish in up to 6 individual aquariums. You can even send aquariums to friends using WiiConnect24 if they also have My Aquarium.

### ⭐⭐ Boring & Not Stress-Reducing
*by A***1 on January 21, 2010*

My husband purchased this for me when my doctor told me that I needed to find ways to relieve stress because my health was being impacted by both my high-stress job and recent family illness. I am not a video-game player; I purchased the Wii for the exercise and activity games. When Aquarium World arrived, I immediately tried it out. Not being 3-years old, I was quickly frustrated by the challenges and limitations on what you can do with the aquarium. This game is a cross between a screen-saver and a game. There are not enough activities/features to make it a game, but you also cannot use it as a screen-saving (without "playing" the game) unless you want the fish to lose their health (which makes them turn gray and float around as if they are dead.)Here are what I consider the pros and cons of this game:Pros:It is easy to use. You can add fish and decorations to the tank quickly. It takes some effort to get your fish to eat their food, but this is still a relatively easy process.Cons:1. Personally, I think the graphics are weak. As the fish move "back", they lose their shape and resemble smudges. The graphics do not make me want to sit back and watch my fish swim around.2. As mentioned earlier, the challenges are rather lame. But, you have to go through the challenges in order to add new fish and features. Here is an example of one of the challenges: Keep one fish alive and healthy for three days. This translates into feeding your fish once or twice a day (and yes, time continues to run down when the game is turned off - so you really have to check in at least once every day). Once I completed this challenge, the next challenge is to "keep three fish alive and healthy for three days."3. Limitations on what you can do. You have only a few fish that you can add to your aquarium without completing the challenges. There are also only a few decorations, backgrounds, etc. You cannot interact with the fish, except to feed them.

### ⭐ Such a disapointment
*by A***X on June 19, 2009*

This is not worth buying. It really should not have been released yet. I get the impression that it spent less than a day in testing. The challenges to unlock new aquariums and fish are mostly time wasters. It takes days of doing nothing for each one. Also this software is so full of bugs. If you do get this game; follow every task to the letter, don't do ANYTHING additional in the challenge aquarium or you risk being unable to do anything more than erase all your data and start over. Also I have had aquariums that I had worked on, reset to empty with no explination or reason. The aquariums are kind of relaxing to watch but the fish movement is kind of unrealistic.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Game Review
*by ***** on January 29, 2011*

The game is certainly challenging. It can also be kind of fun. But there are a few problems -It is hard to manuver the WII remote. Some fish are hard to feed properly (especially the sally lightfoot crabs). There is not enough on help, hints, cheats, or walkthroughs to help guide or instruct the player(s)/user(s). There are limits on how many fish and decorations can go in the tanks. Some of the fish and foods are difficult to see because they are too small. The fish require too many feedings per day.(Once on the auto timer should be plenty in real life. No need for them to be fed more than oce a day in real life). And the game is very time consuming. (This would be permissable if the tank were a real saltwater tank. But it is a game. It should not take more than 3 days to do something on a game.) But if you can tolerate the game's technical and design issuse (listed above) it is still an okay game. Would make an excellent testing and minor training item for people concidering taking on a real saltwater aquarium.
