The only challenge I have noticed is with my outdoor landscape speakers. Longer wiring runs and zero room amplification makes for low volume only. Still fine 95% of the time. Inputs - Spotify connect is great. AirPlay works as well, but I have noticed a drift in synchronization when streaming from my apple TV. Switching to 2.0 audio vs. auto helped, but still drifts over 15-30 minutes by a second or so. Not sure if that's an AirPlay 1 vs. 2 issue or something that could be addressed, but just something to keep in mind if you intend to frequently utilize in-wall speakers in a living room for 2.0 tv audio. Analog input - While there is an input adapter offered from a third party (I haven't gotten it to work...yet), it's a low end adapter this won't be a solution to play your records from a high end player... even if it will work, I would just stick to streaming. Volume Control - This works great for Spotify Connect and Airplay. For example, one person in the home could be playing one stream of audio to any or all of the 8 zones and someone else in the home could be playing their audio to any of the other zones not being used. Best, Colton **Q: how can you connect surround sound for tv? how do you connect the Optical Digital Cable?** A: Your surround sound setup will remain the same (whether that’s a soundbar with stereo satellites or a 5.1 or 7.1 setup). However, if you’re surround amplifier has a line out that with volume control, you can connect that line out to the USB input using the DigitNow RCA/USB adaptor. That way you can, for example, send the sound of what you’re watching throughout the other zones. This is good for a sports gathering. When someone gets up to say grab a snack from the kitchen, they’ll still hear the game in the kitchen zone. No more dealing with keypads, inputs, or signal routing—everything is controlled from an iPad or phone, and it just works.
