You can always turn them up if they are to long **Q: Hi, what's the sizing like with these - are they true to size, or small/large made.** A: In my opinion, they were true to size. There is some flexibility around the waist due to the velcro fastening. I have found the quality to be excellent. **Q: The color models seem to be the very same picture which is photoshopped to represent different colors. Are the true colors well presented?** A: I have these in black and also in khaki. The black is well black and the khaki is khaki and close enough to the pictures. **Q: Can you fit a 16 cm long smartphone in the cargo pockets?** A: Yep, my Sony XP Premium and will sit in the zipper pocket with height to spare and fits exactly into the velcro mag pocket. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic shorts wrongly labled sizes *by A***R on 20 August 2017* As others have said large 35"-37" are actually labled 34" and feel 34" when worn. Puzzled at first by the Velcro waist fastening rather than the button on every other pair of shorts or trouser I've ever owned, but it works fine, just need to fasten it before putting them in the wash so it doesn't snag other clothes. I also bought a belt so if I do need them so the Velcro is exposed they won't stick to a t-shirt. However despite the misleading sizing and the velcro waist fastener I'm still very happy with these shorts. The quality of fabric the design details such as the stepped hem, elasticated rear waist contoured creases and the great pockets make these a VERY good pair if shorts. I sent a pair of fjallraven karl shorts (£80) back as they where no where near as good as these shorts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ flexability *by P***. on 10 July 2022* these shorts are amazing this is the second pair of shorts i have ordered from them. they have sooo many pockets and all are very deep and large. the pockets are grate because they stretch out away from your leg so what ever is in your pockets does not stick into your leg. i work in the outdoor industry and teach caving climbing kayaking to name just a few and have worn the shorts throughout with lots of movement and waterproof. the water just runs right off them. that being said i will be getting some more pairs of these shorts but as a side not after a wile (4+) washes the waterproofing does ware off and the water bleeds into the shorts. that being said they do dry very quickly as they are nice and thin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They fit snug across your hips! *by D***C on 6 May 2019* These shorts are exactly what I wanted. I’m going abroad on holiday and I like having lots of useful pockets but I didn’t want them to look too military.These shorts, dry quickly are strong and have all the pockets you could want. The mobile phone pocket actually fits my iPhone 7+ in.The waist has an elastic piece in the back to help with fit and to keep them comfy when moving the material has a slight stretch too.The waist does up with a Velcro closure like board shorts or MMA shorts. I feel like I could use these shorts in the gym or pool if I wanted to.The fit is unusual they are quite snug across the hips. When I first put them on I thought they were too small but after I’d worn them for a few minutes the elastic waist and the slight stretch of the material meant they fit well and they are actually very comfy. Just took some getting used to.All in all these shorts are great! Suitable for hiking, holidays and day to day use.I do think they are slightly expensive at the £40 mark but they are much better quality than some of the tactical style shorts out there. They’re almost as good as 5.11 and cost about £20 less.
