I got it as an open-box discount for about $75 and you can't beat that. For one thing, it rolls smoothly. It's also heavy duty enough to hold all but the heaviest lights. It has a nice metal construction, but it's still lightweight enough that you can carry it easily if you have to take it to a location. The maximum height is very tall, taller than any kit stand is going to be. It's a fraction of the cost of similar stands from Matthews or Avenger, and I'd say it's probably the same quality as Flashpoint or Kupo. So it's a medium heavy-duty rolling stand. One thing to mention, and this isn't a complaint about build quality, it's just a reality of the design: this kind of stand is more designed for studio use. You CAN use it on a location, but it needs to be an indoor, level, location with hard floors or low-nap carpet. Don't take this stand to the park or the country and expect it to perform like a tripod stand, because that isn't what it is. Another thing, mount your lights (and a small modifier) on the stand. Don't use a boom arm with this kind of stand, use a C-stand or a combo stand for that.
