Is it just a tension rod?** A: The rod is not a tension rod. It is a solid rod that can be adjusted a bit for height. Once the correct height is identified, the rod is screwed into the cabinet at both ends. **Q: mine doesn't spin. Baskets are fixed to the pole which is fixed to the cabinet. Am I missing something? I see no bearings anywhere.** A: There are gray plastic collars that have to be in the right position for the lazy suzan to spin. You have to use one plastic collar for each shelf (If you want them to spin). They sit underneath the shelf on the pole. You must put them on the pole before you attach it to the cabinet. **Q: my cabinet (upper) is only 30 ½" tall. Is there a way to adapt?** A: I had to modify the bottom part of the tube by cutting off about an inch of the material to make sure that I could install it inside of the cabinet. the center tube is a two piece design that has a longer bottom tube (33 1/2") and a shorter top tube (10") that fits inside of the longer tube. You should be able to cut the longer tube to fit your cabinet. You might have to drill some additional holes to relocate the height of the rotating baskets.
