I doubt this machine would work for a tall or heavy person but for me it is fine. I also have a recumbent stationery bike and do a lot of doggy walking. So I was looking for an aerobic exercise machine that tone my lower back, hip area, core, shoulders. The machine was easy to put together by myself and lightweight enough to move around. I was specifically looking for a machine I could easily store in a folded or upright position. I love that it stands on end for storage. Fits perfectly in a corner of my sun porch and takes up only 24" x 24". Standing on end its about 53" tall. I doubt I will use the fitness meter but am glad it comes with one. I will update this review after using the machine awhile. My only concern is that I have read some people claiming that the tension becomes too light when the mechanism warms up. For my needs, that probably won't be a problem but we'll see. I tend to hop on the machine for short spurts during the day instead of an extended of an extended time.
