Review: Good sound reproduction, fits OK - Very good sound reproduction. Highs are not harsh or too bright as with many earbuds. Bass is clean and not muddy and is quite adequate especially at < 15 dollars. Only drawback is that no foam covers are supplied for the drivers. I have big ears and a fat head. Can’t stand in the ear buds so these are just the ticket for me. They don’t interfere with my eyeglasses and I can sleep on my side with them on. For me, these are more comfortable than non ear hook types as the conventional type are always falling out. I which that the whole assembly was adjustable to better suit individual needs. All they need is a wire imbedded in the plastic so they could be better shaped. They do stay on well while I am working and don’t fall of while listening in bed. Good value otherwise and they work well with my iPod Classic, Sansa Clip, and my home audio system.
Review: And I totally love them. My ears are - Update 2/8/16: I've now been using my "earhooks" for almost two months. I still like them a whole lot; however, there are a couple things I noticed and wanted to add to my review. Firstly, I have periodically experienced a static zap in my ears when unplugging from my devices (iPad Air2, iPhone 6s, Macbook Pro) while keeping the earhooks on. The hooks are not easy to get on and off. Thus, if I need to disconnect from my device for a moment, I sometimes leave earpieces on my head and unplug at the device, tucking the cord end in my pocket. The zapping seems to happen when the atmosphere is staticky and the bare metal jack touches something with a charge (like my sweater or my husband). Kerpowie! I'm more careful now about how I disconnect the jack and making sure the jack is tucked away safely while I'm walking around. Secondly, the sound from the earpieces is readily perceived by others at moderate volumes. This is because the earpieces don't actually go *in* the ear canal, but rest just outside, which allows some sound to escape. This is not a deal-breaker for me, but was a bit of a surprise when I thought I was being all sneaky but my husband could hear everything I was listening to. ;) Even with these caveats, I still think that at under 10 samoleans these little guys are a good value. I really like the sound, they're very comfortable, and they are the only inexpensive headphones I have that don't fall out. Because I have never ever EVER found a set of earbuds/headphones that didn't simply drop out of my ears—or hurt. In-ear buds hurt me. Even the smallest size inserts are painful. I've also tried the over-ear form factor a few times without success. The speaker was always aimed in a way that I could not hear the sound easily. This has been my experience: brief bouts of hopeful experimentation with looooong stretches of disappointment and resignation. Every once in awhile I get sad and try a new set of headphones just to see if they aren't entirely horrible on me. These Philips headphones were a gamble I figured would disappoint like all the rest. (Do I sound bitter? Dang right I am.) I was afraid to be too hopeful at this price point. I am so delighted to tell you, however, that my very low expectations have been happily blown to bits. TO BITS. These Philips "earhook" style phones are soooo comfy. And I can waggle my head all around without them falling out! Heck, they don't even move. Huzzah! Because the speaker is aimed well for my tiny ear canals, I can hear the music really well. Even the bass parts sound pretty dang good. Certainly amazingly well for this price. The only niggle is that I wish there was a volume control on the cord. I'm still very happy with them, though. If you are similarly afflicted with weirdo ears, I'd encourage you to give these a try. Very good sound reproduction. Highs are not harsh or too bright as with many earbuds. Bass is clean and not muddy and is quite adequate especially at < 15 dollars. Only drawback is that no foam covers are supplied for the drivers. I have big ears and a fat head. Can’t stand in the ear buds so these are just the ticket for me. They don’t interfere with my eyeglasses and I can sleep on my side with them on. For me, these are more comfortable than non ear hook types as the conventional type are always falling out. I which that the whole assembly was adjustable to better suit individual needs. All they need is a wire imbedded in the plastic so they could be better shaped. They do stay on well while I am working and don’t fall of while listening in bed. Good value otherwise and they work well with my iPod Classic, Sansa Clip, and my home audio system.

Update 2/8/16: I've now been using my "earhooks" for almost two months. I still like them a whole lot; however, there are a couple things I noticed and wanted to add to my review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best in-ear, ear-hook headphones yet.

I like to take my iPod shuffle running and bike riding, and am on a never ending quest to find the perfect headphones that will stay put no matter what I'm doing. Up until this point the winner has been Philips' ear hook headphones that were predecessors to these. They were pretty durable, stayed put well, and the sound was decent. I tried numerous other styles like the Sony MDR-EX81 (yuck), MDR-J10 (uber-yuck), and a number of others. These surpass all others, and they are CHEAP (as in, inexpensive)!! They have a nice springiness to them that holds the aural piece nicely inside your ear without leading to any pressure points or discomfort, they block more outside noise than many other designs (see gripe below) so more of the music comes through unmolested, the cord is a good length for on-body music device use (maybe a little long), and did I mention they are super cheap? My only gripe so far is that they really do need those thin foam coverings that most ear bud headphones use nowadays. My iPods come with ear bud headphones (which I also like, but not for sports) and they ship with a few extra packs of the foam pieces. I put some of those over these headphones and voila, the best headphones to date. Without the foam, the fit is a little less comfortable and they don't nest in your ear canal quite as effectively and let more ambient noise through. Also, since the rubber over-the-ear piece is basically nonadjustable, folks with size-challenged or -enhanced ears may not end up with the ear piece falling in the right spot. This may be a bell curve sized product. Everyone's ears are different, but if iPod headphones fit you pretty well in general but want something that will hook over your ears to stay put (and you don't have elephant ears), give these a shot. It's only a $10 experiment. I need to subtract one star for the lack of the foam coverings...
