Review: Wow! Fabulous impression after first use! - Wow! This has been delivered really quickly and I used it immediately after putting it together - the assembly is dead easy! I did the carpets on the deep clean setting and am stunned at how good a job its done! It is heavy to use, but exercise is good for us so what the heck! The amount of dirt in the water was crazy! We had a vax pet cleaner prior to this machine (lost a part off it that cant be replaced) but in spite of the fact that I only last cleaned the carpets a few weeks ago, this has really proved its worth. It's really easy to clean too which is an added bonus. Very happy to have decided to buy this!

I had to clean communal hall carpets that were stained with wine and bin juice mixed with years of dirt and grime. This made such a difference. I used the free sachet of vax’s own brand that came with it.it didn’t go far but it did oxidise the worse part like magic. The vax liquid is super expensive though so I used a different brand that worked just as well. Instructions on use were very clear and easy to assemble. The attachments had quite a good length of flex too so I had no risk of tipping my machine over. The head doesn’t fit under railings (approx 3”) so best not to use for underneath things or fixed fittings. Other that absolutely delighted with it. Best applying some pre soaked for extremely bad hardened stains. I used rug doctor spray for a fiver but the vax good most stains out with out it. Some before and after pictures attached.

A: Nothing I don't think

A: This carpet washer is excellent at cleaning large carpeted areas, it also comes with the benefit of a hose for use on stairs, upholstery and car seats. Hope this helps.

**Q: How often can we use a carpet cleaner? Every week?I have a toddler at home.**
A: I probably wouldn't use it every week, maybe for small stains it would be ok. I clean my carpets once a year. The Vax leaves them pretty dry after about an hour.

I purchased this carpet and upholstery cleaner after thorough research and reading numerous reviews, and I’m very pleased with my decision. It cleans carpets effectively and did a great job on my sofa too. That said, I found the spot-cleaning head better suited to surfaces like stairs rather than the curved surfaces of furniture. Despite this, it still managed to refresh my sofa, which now looks and smells much cleaner. You could potentially use it to clean car upholstery - and I certainly plan to try - but I am going to look to purchase a narrower head if I can. The cleaner is somewhat heavy but remains easy to manoeuvre around the house. The long hose made cleaning our staircase straightforward, and the electric cord is a good length, allowing me to move around a room without needing an extension cable. The kit includes a small bottle of detergent, but I recommend purchasing a larger bottle if you plan to do extensive cleaning. Our carpets took a full 24 hours to dry completely. I plan to re-clean during the warmer summer months when drying will be quicker. I was quite shocked by the colour of the water extracted - it really showed how much unseen dirt was trapped in the carpets! Overall, this cleaner is a solid choice for deep cleaning carpets and upholstery. Just be prepared for the drying time, which can vary depending on carpet thickness, humidity, and ventilation, and consider the weight when moving the machine around. Its cleaning power and ease of use make it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a fresh home environment. Finally, it is fairly noisy so I recommend wearing earphones to help reduce the noise especially if you're planning to use it for an extended period of time.
