I bought these trays to test some of my water-based aromatherapy products. I was taught in Aromatherapist Certification classes that water-based aromatherapy products grow bacteria faster than oil-based products. Also, that water-based products should last from one (1) to three (3) months depending on storage, age of the ingredients, cleanliness of the bottles, etc. So, I wanted to test a product to find out how long it would take to grow bacteria. The product is six (6) weeks old now and is not bad yet!Now that I have tested a single product stored at room temperature, I want to find out how storing the water-based product in the refrigerator will change the rate of bacterial growth. That is, I want to find out how much longer a water-based product will stay good if I store it in the refrigerator.This product came packed in a sealed box with tape on it stating to not accept the package if the tape seal is broken. The ten (10) trays came wrapped in bubble wrap, so nothing was broken or cracked. The cotton swabs were sealed in paper (like a band-aid) and in a plastic baggie with the hand sanitizer. It may seem funny to give a product like this 5 stars, but I like these so much that I will be ordering more for my next experiment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome kit and customer service! *by E***F on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2016* All the items arrived in perfect condition - note the size of the plates are smaller than normal, but just right for kids in our opinion. We messed up a few plates due to an inaccurate thermometer, but customer service was superb - answered right away and walked us through it, helping us find the minutest colony on the agar plate to inoculate other plates. It worked!!! Science fair experiment came out perfect and gained entry into a regional science fair. Highly recommend! (By the way, we opted to buy a separate pack of transfer pipettes since we needed quite a few, rather than getting the upgraded kit like this with only two pipettes.) ### ⭐ Bad quality!! *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2018* My little brother is doing a science fair project and the agar in the Petri dish RIPPED when he swabbed the sample inside!!! We tried it on THREE different Petri dishes and they all ripped!!!!! Like what the heck????!! Never had I seen agar rip like that with a GENTLE swabbing motion!! They agar wasn’t even thick it is just a very thin layer!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I’m so upset I didn’t take pictures of the other ones that ripped but that one picture of the others that cracked and ripped.
