I like to use it for chronic tightness in my hips, calves, and shoulders. It’s great for recovery post workout but after a good workout it’ll feel painful. Depending on your training, I like to lift heavy and body build: the theragun helps loosen muscles before a workout and helps me recover after one. It’s vibration can cause a tingling feeling when used on sore muscles (that feel ticklish) but if you angle it a certain way and hit the right trigger points you can really help your body heal & repair. I suffer from less tmj headaches since I’ve been using it for my traps and neck area. It’s a wonderful device, I’d highly recommend it. Knowingly, Theragun is placing G3 batteries in the G4 so you just get 75 or less min... it is written in so many other reviews **Q: Hi there , if i purchase g4 device nowadays it will come with g4 batteries or not as i will pay for 150 min battery capacity and not g3 75 min ?** A: You will receive batteries that read G3 and they will last less than 60 min. They have doing that knowingly. I bought from Amazon (not Amazon's fault) and directly from them, have a couple of friends and I HAVE NOT seen a battery that reads G4. They sell PRO Batteries -separately- that cost 59 dollars EACH that they say last 150 min. Batteries that are supposed to come with the device in the first place. I've had chronic lower back pain - and repeated injuries - over the years. Nothing much seemed to help - MRIs, spinal docs, PT, chiropractors, meds, rest, heat, ice, etc. After my most recent injury, I wondered if maybe I just had horribly knotted/swollen muscles that needed to calm down. So I started hammering my lower back area with this thing and over the days all the muscles finally started to smooth out and relax and my pain went away. It's like you're hammering the muscles into submission. It's been amazing. Almost addictive.
