Review: Lovely Strings :) 9-42 light - As a beginner guitar player I've only changed my strings on my acoustic once before and this time I went for a slightly lighter gauge and glad I did it makes player so much easier on the fingers and the sound from the D'addario strings is lovely and bright gave my guitar a new sound altogether ! Packaging of the strings is really good there's a sealed packet within cardboard sleeve making strings shelf life friendly and keeps them out of the elements until the moment your ready to fit them . Really happy with the strings for the following reasons.... 1. Sound - lovely , bright and clear makes guitar sound more 'alive' 2. Playability - as a fairly new beginner the lighter gauge lets me play for longer and less exertion is needed to hold the sting to the fret . 2. Price - especially cheap on desertcart. 3 . Packaging - The sleeve and bag they come in is great , also the 'ball ends' are nicely colour coded in foolproof string numbers corresponding to the packaging guide super easy to read . 4. Reviews - When i come to choosing something especially online , reviews and feedback are important so that was a big deciding factor on buy the Daddario strings . * As a relative beginner there's a ton of videos on You Tube showing you how to restring guitars some better than others . Haven't seen this anywhere online and thought it was quite an obvious thing to do ..... I found that regarding if your in doubt the ball ends of the new strings are seated correctly in the plastic bridge pin slots to the underside of the bridge inside your guitar I put my camera phone inside the body of my guitar took a picture with the flash on to save any doubt I'd done this correctly before fixing the strings at the head end to save any excess string slipping up when you tighten the string at the head posts ...simples :)

**Q: are these ball end or do these come in ball end versions?**
A: As far as I know, all D'Addario "steel" string packs come with ball ends.  To my knowledge, only the Nylon Classical strings come with/without ball ends.

**Q: how many strings in the pack**
A: It's not a dumb question. Amazon is sending out single strings  instead of complete sets in some cases. Happened to me 3 times when buying D'Addario
electric "set"s.

**Q: Does this set have a wound third?**
A: Yes, it does, here are the gauges:
String Gauges: Plain Steel .011, .015, Bronze Wound .022, .032, .042, .052

**Q: This have 12 string by pack ?**
A: The strings I buy usually have six strings per pack. I got a cheap brand of strings that had 12 strings, but that's not how they are generally sold.

Amazing. I tried playing the guitar without any strings and I found it too quite. Once I bought these strings, the guitar came alive. Seriously good at a great price. I love them

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ D'Addario 80/20 Bronze

Good strings with reasonable longevity. Pub player + guitar goes more or less everywhere. I make sure that I wipe them down at the end of a session. Minus 1 star because they do seem to lose that new string brilliance more quickly than say Rotosounds of an equivalent gauge; some people I know do like that, so it's really just my personal preference. However, these do seem to suit the guitar they are on - mid range solid top Yamaha - and people comment on the sound. So a nice combination all in all. What swings it for me is that I do like the fact that D'Addario publish the string tensions and these have slightly less tension than say an EJ16 - slightly easier on the fingers. Overall string choice is personal preference. They do a good job, have reasonable longevity and are a good match for the guitar they are on.
