It's a little shorter width-wise, but it's perfect for how I need it set up with my binders, clinic shoes, etc. The little black pull out drawer isn't very secure and wiggles a bit, but it works just fine for my pens. The stand comes folded up, and when you open it up it sort of snaps into place and is secure. To close it, you squeeze the legs outwards and bend it. It a little awkward when folded up and the drawer slides out constantly, but I image it's convenient when not in use and tucked away somewhere . I love the color and it matches several other items on amazon, that I have also purchased. [May not be important to you, but it's an added bonus]. I had some zippable drawer boxes from Ikea (don't recall the name of it), but the large square fits nicely on the top part of this stand.
