I lost the first one on a knitted sweater and wiped my face and the second one was lost because my boyfriend cleaned the bathroom and of course he never saw it, he just cleaned right on over it. It was the one time I didn't put it back in the box it came in. I've tried other clear retainers before, but this one is the LEAST noticeable. You cannot tell it's even in if someone is looking directly at you. HOWEVER. If someone is standing on the side your piercing is on, it may make the hole of your piercing more noticeable. In other words, the clear top part that sits on your nose is very clear, like glass. So if you put glass over a dark area it's gonna look dark. I hope this makes sense. I've tried putting makeup over it but honestly nobody has ever noticed or said anything to me about it at the internship so I think this is the best retainer you could get. Nobody will notice it unless you point it out to them. You would have to be six inches from someone's face to notice from the front . Otherwise it's practically invisible. Plus have two in one pack is super convenient if you lose nose rings a lot like I do.
