This works great - our outside temps have been 90 - 100 degrees for weeks. **Q: Can you open the top to clear the water holes?** A: The very top of the unit does not open. It has the filter panels that open. 3 or so inches from the top. **Q: Is this a mc92v or mc92c?** A: I’m not sure I didn’t open it yet What is the difference ? **Q: Is there a cover available?** A: I used a Portacool cover. FYI this product has a few issues for me. If its 100+ this can get hot and shut off. The water inlet valve on ours does not shut the water off when it full. If I had it to do again I would have bought a Reconditioned Portacool Cyclone 160. Of course its $1000 more.
