It can be used to mix most viscous fluids, paints, epoxies, stains, wall texture and adhesives. The heavy-duty mixer has 1/4" hex shaft to provide a secure connection to fit all 3/8" or larger electric drills. The specially designed polypropylene mixing head insures quick and complete mixing throughout the container and allows for easy cleaning. The helix shape reaches corners and the bottom of the can for full mixing and is the fastest mixer of its kind. The helix shape allows the liquid to be uniformly mixed throughout the container. Use a low to moderate speed and make sure not to raise the mixing head above the surface of the liquid, while spinning, to avoid spatter on clean surfaces. Review: Allway Paint Mixer-- Easy to use, Inexpensive, No problem - I had less than half a gallon of old primer I wanted to salvage for a small area. It was pretty nasty but it was either use it or toss it. I bought this to make my attack. Pic A shows how it came. OK fine. Pic B shows the rubber top that you use if you want to hang it. It comes right off. You can kinda see the shaft is 6 sided. Fits nice and snug in my drill. I would think a variable speed drill is best for this. You can control the splatter! I started slowly and clockwise which is to say going with the fins. Did great. I then decided to reverse direction and it did just as well. Maybe a little more aggressive but not uncontrollably so. Again, I'm in less than half a gallon so I wanted to be careful. In a full gallon you would probably need more power. I got to use the old primer and am very happy with this. Pic C shows the top of the stirrer for what its worth. Note that this brand doesn't have the flat platform over the fins. Maybe it adds to stability or longevity not sure, but without it, it sees to be easy to clean. (PS I letter my pics because desertcart keeps screwing up their order so I can't refer to first pic, second pic etc!) Thanks

**Q: will it melt if i clean up with acetone**
A: I have been using Acetone to clean Rustoleum hammered paint off of mine and haven't had an issue.

**Q: How do you clean this? - or it it really a one time use?**
A: I just spray water on it (for latex paint) while spinning it in drill/driver.  For oil base just clean with paint thinner.  Not a one time use; should last you for many, many years

**Q: How big is the steering head**
A: The steering head is 2 1/2 inches.

**Q: Are the blades hard or flexible? Would they fit in a one gallon jug?**
A: The blades on the one gallon helix paint mixer are hard with a little bend to them. They are made for one gallon paint cans; if the opening of the jug is equal to a 1 gallon paint mixer, then it should fit no problem.

This little paint mixer does a very good job at mixing my 5 gallon bucket of paint. I was able to simply attach it to my drill and place all the way down to the bottom of the paint bucket, and it mixed up my paint perfectly! It did not splatter, and the paint mixer was easy to clean and store for the next job. Overall, I give this product a perfect 4 stars. It's also a very well-made, heavy-duty product! I highly recommend this product for all of your paint projects.
