I like their rugged build, but the lacing on this is tricky, and the fit is a bit tight as it is a thick guard, so not recommended for bigger arms. The cord needs to be longer. This guard was designed to really protect forearms. It provides superb protection. The leading edge, edge near the hand, tends to dig into my arm. That keeps it in position but it does become uncomfortable during extended shooting sessions. The leather used holds it semi-tubular shape extremely well after repeated uses. I have tried many arm guards over the years, even comparable thick leather arm guards. There is an extra layer of leather added on the face of the arm guard with the bear logo that protects you from feeling any string slap on your forearm , I mean zero string slap… I was actual shocked lol. If I have to nit pick it would be with the way the string is laced to the arm guard… like most traditional arm guards you have to lace the armguard to work for you.
