Review: Cuts well without clogging - Mirlon is abrasive all the way through, unlike a similar-looking, very popular pad. And unlike sandpaper, its open structure keeps it from clogging. On a hard film finish like lacquer, its a good leveler. On an "in the wood" oil finish, I use it as a second coat applicator, similar to using 4/0 steel wool, but without the fine metal particles.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Epoxy Can these be used to apply oil on wood and epoxy resin products and not scratch?**
A: I do use these to apply oils and oil/wax finishes, they work very well, I like the white colored pads for that.  If you first coat of finish has and nubs or dust in it the red (600 grit +- ) works nice to smooth everything out as you apply.  I don't think they would be very good for an epoxy resin finish though
