I bought these when two separate Mastercool EZ-Snap high side adapters for my Mastercool manifold set leaked badly when attached to my 1999 Subaru Outback.These do not leak at all. Pull back the locking ring, attach the adapter to the A/C system port, let the locking ring slide forward (locking it in place), then turn the valve handle until the pressure gauge shows a change in pressure. No fuss, no muss, not at all position/rotation sensitive. Unlike the Mastercool adapters, NO leaking coolant, no sprayed compressor oil. They work very nicely.UPDATE - I had only used the YXGOOD high side adapter when i wrote my original review. I tried using the low side adapter today on two different vehicles (1999 Subaru Outback, 2013 Subaru Forester), but it did not lock in place on either vehicle. The high side adapter works just fine, but the low side adapter doesn't lock in place. Time for a return/exchange....sad. I had hoped that these would actually fit. Review downgraded from 5 stars to 2 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Quality Adapters - Highly Recommend *by D***Z on June 8, 2016* Excellent quality adapters. They really made servicing our AC in the 2003 Subaru Outback very quick and easy. They also worked well on our neighbors 1998 Ford Expedition. I highly recommend them but suggest learning how they function before using them so you don't accidentally waste coolant. Turning fully clockwise will open the AC valve on the vehicle. Turning fully counter-clockwise will allow the AC valve to close. Just make sure both adapters are fully counter-clockwise before snapping onto the vehicles AC fittings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Valved option is well worth the few bucks *by C***Z on July 22, 2016* I highly recommend these for quality and utility. They are perfect for adapting flared or Acme threaded hoses (adapter included) to r134a automobile fittings. Why just buy an r134 adapter when you can get these valved fitting for a few bucks more. It ensures you don't loose a drop of refrigerant, and no pressure blast when installing on the fitting.
