It was not a very busy year so this rig saw very little use. Yes, it functions much like the real thing. What prompted the review? I just finished replacing the cord. The upside is that the kit included an extra cord. The downside is that there is no instructions on how to do it. Over the year I have replaced the plastic buckle on the belt. One of the support rods came un bolted, pretty simple repair. The padding and adjustments just don't feel as comfortable as the real thing. I didn't buy the real thing nor could I afford to. If you're thinking about getting one of these budget rigs, know that you are going to have to maintain it.
