Great for small business server farms or home office
I have 5 of these rack mounted in my basement cased in Supermicro SuperChassis CSE-502L-200B cases. They are excellent machines. They use little power and heat is not an issue at all. I installed 4GB of memory, of which 3.5 GB is recognized, although they say only 2 GB is supported. Mine all run OpenSolaris and pfSense just perfectly (used for file serving, internet connection load balancing and redundancy, proxy, application server, etc.) The dual gig ports are trunked to my switches. Annoyances: The riser card for the cases are sold separately. Only enough room in the cases for one full size drive. I use the dual 2.5 drive adapter to hold 2 laptop drives and mirror them. None of these annoyances are specific to this motherboard however. Perfect for a small business or someone who has a home office. They just work -- without issue. I've had them for about a year without issue from any of the 5.
