Ripping it from the walls 2x4's would take about a minute and then it can be carried away. I have bought 2 of these and I love them. It may be worth having it mounted in concrete or to thick-gauge steel for true security. The face is flush to the wall, so a painting or mirror fits nicely over it. Great quality for the money. I do wish that it was larger in size but it fits quite nicely in the wall. Installation was simple and it conceals very nicely inside the wall. I have a picture hanging over the front of it and you can't even tell it is there. I would have liked to have the option of using a key to open it.
