Unfortunately it shipped with missing and broken parts so I wasn't really able to properly evaluate it. That said, the ball-mount for the gooseneck is made from cheap plastic and it wasn't possible to tighten it enough to keep the platform in position--without a phone on it. With the added weight of a phone, it would almost certainly not hold position.
