I have purchased stainless steel measuring utensils in the past because I wanted some that the measurements didn't rub off and that didn't break and split like the plastic ones. Each one is engraved with the measurement both in standard U.S. measurements (cups, tsp. etc.) and in ml. I don't usually keep my measuring cups connected, because they are kind of a pain to take apart, however, the ring these are attached with is easy and quick to undo - maybe it's a fluke, but mine are easy to use. Something else that I have found to be an added bonus is the shape of the measuring spoons; they are long and slender and fit into all those spice containers that my others don't . Wahoo! One more added bonus (this will probably come in handy when one of my kids walks off with the measuring cup that I need leaving me to guess the correct measurement with whatever they have left in the drawer) - each of the cups has additional measurements on the inside.
