A connection diagram will help but it is missed.** A: On a 3 pin on/off/on rocker switch. 12v feed to center pin. When toggled one way 12v circuit is connected to that circuit and not to the other circuit. So when toggled other way the opposite is connected to 12v. When toggled to middle neither side is connected to 12v. You need to completely reverse the current flow through the 12v motor to reverse it so that requires changing the positive and ground poles. This switch will not do that. You need a 6 pin on/off/on rocker switch for that. **Q: What voltage is the red LED?** A: It is the same voltage as the device your are attaching it to. If appliance uses 120V AC it will be 120V. The ones I used it went into one of the goose neck floor lamps. Works great. Personally, I would not use it on voltages above 120V.
