This protects the optics glass from getting scratched/damaged. **Q: What model fits the springfield hellcat?** A: This item is a cover only for the HoloSun 507c HS Red Dot. The optics for your Hellcat take a base adapter (or not! I don't own a Hellcat). You can contact Springfield Armory or do some more research on moptic ounting for pistols. The Holosun is a good choice and requires an RMR base plate. This product solves that problem and gives me peace of mind when I'm not using my Holosun 507C (attached to a suppressed Browning Buckmark .22LR). It snaps on/off easily and fits well.
