Review: Sometimes More Is Better - These are simply amazing microphones, they definitely cost more, but you will be blown away by the quality of sound that these Mics produce A home studio can produce really good Big studio quality with some lesser mics, but as any producer, or engineer will tell you, "THE BETTER THE SOUND GOING IN....THE BETTER THE SOUND COMING OUT" it is totally worth it to invest in some PREMIUM MICs, and you will not go wrong with these Neumann KM 184 MT's And did I mention....it's totally worth it? Amazing Sound......Amazing Mic Review: WOW...Great On Acoustic Guitar - A friend of mine loaned me a pair of these mics. The very next day, I ordered my own. Nice, warm, and rich. A nice natural sound on acoustic instruments. Perfect for home, and studio, recording. But also work well in the field. ## Features - Demo Sm-diaph Cardioid Mic - Blk (pair) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000T9HDC0 | | Antenna Location | Singing | | Audible Noise | 51 db | | Audio Sensitivity | 16 db | | Best Sellers Rank | #23,220 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #208 in Multipurpose Condenser Microphones | | Brand | Neumann | | Built-In Media | What's in the box: Neumann 2 x KM 184 MT Microphone, 2 x WNS100 45mm Windscreen, 2 x SG21/17MT Swivel Mount with Clamp for 21mm Mics, Jeweler's Case, Neumann 1 Year Warranty | | Color | Matte Black | | Compatible Devices | Personal Computer, Laptop, Amplifier, Audio Interface, Mixing Console, Digital Recorder | | Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Connector Type | XLR | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 29 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Frequency Response | 20000 hertz | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04006087085233 | | Item Dimensions | 10 x 6.5 x 3 inches | | Item Type Name | Neumann KM183 MT Stereo Set | | Item Weight | 12.16 ounces | | Manufacturer | Neumann | | Mfr Part Number | 8523 | | Microphone Form Factor | microphone only | | Model Name | 8523 | | Model Number | 008523 | | Number of Channels | 2 | | Number of Items | 2 | | Polar Pattern | Unidirectional | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Recommended Uses For Product | Singing | | Signal-to-Noise Ratio | 81 db | | Special Feature | Corded | | UPC | 639476315495 639476314825 615104085237 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 years. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Neumann - **Color:** Matte Black - **Compatible Devices:** Personal Computer, Laptop, Amplifier, Audio Interface, Mixing Console, Digital Recorder - **Connectivity Technology:** Wired - **Connector Type:** XLR - **Model Name:** 8523 - **Polar Pattern:** Unidirectional - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Singing - **Special Feature:** Corded ## Images ![Neumann KM 184 Stereo Set Small-diaphragm Cardioid Microphones - Matte Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61JER9msxFL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sometimes More Is Better *by D***N on March 20, 2021* These are simply amazing microphones, they definitely cost more, but you will be blown away by the quality of sound that these Mics produce A home studio can produce really good Big studio quality with some lesser mics, but as any producer, or engineer will tell you, "THE BETTER THE SOUND GOING IN....THE BETTER THE SOUND COMING OUT" it is totally worth it to invest in some PREMIUM MICs, and you will not go wrong with these Neumann KM 184 MT's And did I mention....it's totally worth it? Nice, warm, and rich. A nice natural sound on acoustic instruments. Perfect for home, and studio, recording. But also work well in the field. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice *by T***A on April 15, 2025* I finally was able to afford my own pair of these after using them at work extensively and have to say that they are the best for acoustic guitar imho. I’ve used a lot of different mics for that purpose (414s, sm81, nt5s, etc.) and these have a certain character that requires me to do much less post production in terms of eq. I find myself only adding subtle compression when there are used as a stereo pair. They have a warm, natural glimmer that lacks the harshness of some of the other popular SDCs. Sure, they have no additional features like pads or rolloffs, but who needs those when you have a pair of Neumanns and aren’t trying to record loud stuff. I have used them for other things too: percussion, bowed stringed instruments, foley and even choral arrangements and quartets. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can pair them with some decent pres. ## Frequently Bought Together - Neumann KM 184 MT Stereo Set Condenser Microphone,Matte Black - Rode SB20 Stereo Array Spacing Bar Microphone Mount - Amazon Basics Adjustable Boom Arm Height Microphone Stand with Tripod Base, Up to 85.75 Inches - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/1781622-neumann-km-184-stereo-set-small-diaphragm-cardioid-microphones-matte](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/1781622-neumann-km-184-stereo-set-small-diaphragm-cardioid-microphones-matte) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
