What a beautiful country and Rick was spot on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Indespensible guide book *by R***N on 6 December 2019* I have been to 30 countries around the world. However, this was going to be my first trip to the Netherlands. I actually got four other guide books out of the library on the Netherlands, but they didn't have Rick Steves book. Therefore I read the other four, cover to cover, then purchased the RS book to take with me on my trip. In my opinion Rick Steves is equal to, or superior than, any of the other books I read. One thing for sure, Rick recommends that if you do your homework you will have a great trip. I wholeheartedly concur. I like to think of myself as an experienced world traveler. My recommendations are that if you're going to South America, the South American Guide Book is indespensible. (It's been published for decades, and is thick, but compact. Last one I saw was bound in a red hard back binding. If you're going to Asia, then you'll have to make your own decision about which guide book to get. But DO learn enough of the language of the country you are going to, or you'll end up having a difficult time. AND finally, if you're going to somewhere in Europe, get a Rick Steves guide book.
