Thank you.** A: China. Ticonderoga are not made in the USA. There are only three USA manufactured pencils; Musgrave in TN, General in NJ, and CalCedar. All three make excellent inexpensive school pencils. **Q: Has the packaging and count gotten better?** A: I haven’t ordered any in the last quarter, but I have only had 1 box out of a many that arrived upside down and spilled out over the packing box. All of the other boxes ordered have has sufficient foam padding to hold the 1000 pencils in place. **Q: Are these made in China and thus overpriced, inferior crap?** A: I use them for my students in my classroom and they hold up really well.
