All our butcher blocks are a true 1.5 inch thick. - GRADE A MAPLE - Big Bison Blocks uses clear, premium maple that is guaranteed to be knot free on the visible side of your butcher block countertop. Our hard rock maple is properly seasoned and milled to prevent cupping and warping. - FOOD SAFE FINISH - After joining, our countertops are finished with a NSF mineral oil based finish that is safe for food contact. No varnishes or polyurethane are used. This ensures our countertops can be used for food surfaces and cut on directly if wanted. - KNOTS GUARANTEE - On the visible tops and sides, we offer a knot free guarantee. To keep our pricing competitive, there will often be knots on the underside (non-visible) of the countertop. Most customers are ok with this since the underside is usually not visible, but if you require completely knot free countertops, we unfortunately are not the right choice. - AMERICAN MADE - Big Bison Blocks of Redmond proudly produces all of our butcher blocks in America, using 100% responsibly harvested North American hard rock maple. ## Product Details - **Brand:** Big Bison Blocks - **Color:** Brown - **Product Dimensions:** 36"L x 30"W x 1.5"Th - **Material:** Maple Wood - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Kitchen - **Shape:** Rectangular - **Product Care Instructions:** Hand Wash Only - **Special Feature:** Long Lasting - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Size:** 36"L x 30"W ## Images ![Premium Kitchen Countertop, 36x30 Inch, Grade A Hard Maple, 1.5 Inch Thick Butcher Block - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51WMA1WTHRL.jpg) ![Premium Kitchen Countertop, 36x30 Inch, Grade A Hard Maple, 1.5 Inch Thick Butcher Block - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81tD8M32SyL.jpg) ![Premium Kitchen Countertop, 36x30 Inch, Grade A Hard Maple, 1.5 Inch Thick Butcher Block - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81obijXjlEL.jpg) ![Premium Kitchen Countertop, 36x30 Inch, Grade A Hard Maple, 1.5 Inch Thick Butcher Block - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819dBqBKavL.jpg) ![Premium Kitchen Countertop, 36x30 Inch, Grade A Hard Maple, 1.5 Inch Thick Butcher Block - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81juNoljSAL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this heat resistant? If I put a hot pan on it will it burn or scorch?** A: No, this is not heat resistant to high temperatures as it is a genuine wood product. If you put a burning hot pan on any type of wood, it will scorch the surface. **Q: Hello, i just received my block today. it's acclimating now. my question is once it is acclimated can i seal it with urethane or something similar?** A: If you are using this as a butcher block do not use urethane on it. It needs to be saturated with either mineral oil or a butcher block oil. It will need to be reapplied regularly to maintain it. **Q: Can I order a island top 38 wide and 7' long ?** A: I do not know that you can. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional quality and the perfect solution *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2019* This is an amazingly well-made butcher block. The brief, clear, and helpful prep instructions are much appreciated. Big Bison has various sizes, and after a week of searching, the 36" x 30" butcher block became the solution (and alternative) to a bar-height table. Mounted on a pair of heavy duty brackets, it allows for unobstructed movement under the table, and also allows to drop the table top down flush against the wall (see picture). A terrific high quality and low cost solution ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasic quality *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2021* The board is beautiful, well made and detailed directions for care and use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars This company stands behind their product! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2020* This is a great product and the company offers terrific customer service! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/175244427-premium-kitchen-countertop-36x30-inch-grade-a-hard-maple-1](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/175244427-premium-kitchen-countertop-36x30-inch-grade-a-hard-maple-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
