You would need to make sure your pan dimensions fit the divided tray. **Q: Can I use this with a collapsable wire chafing dish stand? I don't have room to store a chafing dish** A: Yes, that is exactly how I use it. Actually, mine doesn't collapse, but it is a simple wire chafing dish stand. I think the size is the important issue, so there seems to be a standard size for these. Be wary of buying older ones in thrift stores or garage sales, however. I did, and it was just a tad too large to fit into today's units.
