Review: Handy bit of kit - This is a nice bit of kit that is easy to use and both light and strong. It’s very sharp and gets through SMALL branches with ease, it is a fairly fine cut so you wouldn’t want to go through anything much more than 2 inches diameter, the blade does flex a little but only if you go at it a bit ham fisted… so don’t do that and it will be fine. The blade slides through the handle and secured by a locking dial, again you just need to find how much tension to apply and it works great. Since I couldn't find any details online, I contacted Fiskars directly, and they confirms that the blades on the SW saws are not replaceable. It's a great saw in any case, and I've just bought another one. **Q: How thick is the blade? Is it easy to bend if the saw sticks in the cut?** A: Blade is about 1mm thick. (It's 250mm / 10" long, but you don't have to have it out fully.) However, the teeth stick out either side just slightly. This means the main cut is slightly wider than the blade so it shouldn't stick. However, it is really quite sturdy with 'Hard Chrome Plating' and it doesn't bend that much. I've not got it stuck / bent it yet with quite a bit of cutting, including some odd angles and through knots. I suppose if the bow was bending onto the blade it would stick, but cut from the top and not the bottom! The plastic handle is sturdy too. Very nice product actually. **Q: can you get replacement blades ?** A: I'm sorry, but I can't help with this one. I do not know the answer. **Q: If the blade is 255mm (10inch) and the saw is 13in. then the handle is only 3inch ? surely not ?** A: The blade is retractable so 13 inches is the length of the handle and the blade 10 inches.
