I think 10' is the perfect length, it maneuvers great and is easier to get on and off the roof than my 12 footer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely satisfied, minor flaws *by K***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2021* Kayak was fairly simple to put together. I did watch the videos provided to install the rudder etc. You do need to get your own allen wrench for the pedals the one that came with it didn't fit. And you have to adjust that and tighten it from time to time. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase! I was out fishing in it over the weekend and it was just fabulous! The pedal drive is flawless when pedaling, you do need to get familiar with how to raise it when you need to because you can't raise it as quickly as you'd like because the propeller has to be facing upwards straight up so that might take a little time but you just pull the pin push it Forward pull it up and you're good. When you get to about a foot of water you may want to elevate the pedal drive. Now they do advertise that you can stand on this kayak, however, I personally would not be able to because of balance issues and you would have to be very careful to stand up so just a word of caution. Otherwise the quality of this product is excellent. Works perfectly. Just make sure you check your local register your local laws etc you may need a launching permit at certain state parks I know in Pennsylvania we do so make sure you get yourself a launching permit or a mooring permit. I didn't know this stuff and I got cited for it. Oh and one other flaw I found was in the rudder assembly those round pins there's three of them they seem to go missing so I have a bent hook in one of them and keep an eye on them very closely because without those round pins you cannot operate the rudder. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Problems encountered *by G***O on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2020* I had a hard job finding the instructions online, even on the company website. Once I had them it was easy for me to put together although I had to go out and buy the tools needed and a friend who also bought one came and helped. Think for the price they could have included these tools. The problems I have encountered since are the control for the rudder is very hard to turn, very stiff and you have to overcompensate to get it to turn initially. There is a bungie cord and hook where you can mount an oar or fishing rod alongside the kayak and a groove for this purpose, however it is on the same side of the kayak as the rudder control so anything you put there gets in the way of steering, they could have placed this on the other side. I have been having trouble with the left pedal crank arm, it comes loose while I'm using it and I've had to row myself back to base several times, I now take the allen wrench with me so I can tighten it while afloat. I thought I might have mounted the arm wrongly as the instructions say to make sure you get the right and left cranks correctly mounted, however, I've taken them both off and cannot find any indication as to which is R or L and they both screw in the same way, something I noticed while putting it together initially. Getting the propeller down is awkward as you have a long locking bolt to remove and put back that's in the same place as your right leg and you're having to do this while in open water and seated. A quick release pin would have been easier. My friend, who has the same one, reports similar problems and is considering returning it to the manufacturer. Trying to phone for help is impossible, I've been trying for two weeks and there is no email address listed. Overall though, it is a great kayak when it's working, well built except for stated issues, easy to get on and off my lift and quite light (I'm 71/female). Seat is very comfortable, storage is limited if you do a lot of kayaking and camp out.
